The Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Staffordshire, Ben Adams, has won re-election to the role, securing a second term. The position, elected by voters across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, has been held by Conservatives since its creation in 2011.
At this week's election, Ben received 73,500 votes, defeating Labour and Liberal Democrat challengers.
Since 2021, Ben has overseen the recruitment of more than 250 extra police officers for Staffordshire Police, and Newcastle has received a share of £750,000 Safer Streets funding to tackle antisocial behaviour and violence against women and girls, as well as more targeted support to combat ASB hotspots in the town centre.
Commenting on his election success, Ben said:
"I am delighted that residents have backed me again to do what I can to support Staffordshire Police and Staffordshire Fire & Rescue as they continue on their journey to becoming excellent services."
